Lake Koggala, Sri Lanka

The easiest way to get to the lake is by tuk-tuk from the nearby areas of Koggala and Unawatuna, it will be cheaper. You hire a boatman on the spot, you can bargain for 20 dollars. For this money, they will take you on a boat for about an hour and a half from one attraction to another, namely, they will show you monitor lizards, birds, take you to the island of cinnamon (played by a local actor :-), where they will give you tea, and try to sell you cinnamon itself. Next you will visit the temple on the island, the only place in the area that was not flooded during the tsunami. And although all the entertainment is quite banal, the feeling of privacy and seclusion brings a lot of pleasure.
