Trieste city, Italy

I saw this city back in 1991, when liras were still in use. Our ship stayed in the port for only a couple of days, but during this time we managed to walk around its central part and visited the Sunday fair in the square (we almost bought ourselves shoes for 50 liras - a lot of money). By the way, the city is very similar to Odessa with its fountains and architecture. We were probably one of the first tourists back then... although to this day Trieste is not spoiled by them.
