Ekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk), Ural

The city was founded during the time of Catherine, it developed as an industrial center, especially during and after the Great Patriotic War. In Soviet times, it was the westernmost point where various elements could come after the camps, so the crime situation in the city always left much to be desired. But as soon as you left Sverdlovsk, you were enveloped in impenetrable taiga, mountains, rivers and lakes. This is probably why I still have warm memories of this region..., in a word - the Urals.
